Lee Elders: The 1st Master

On Day 1 of Black Heritage Month, The BTU saluted the Great Lee Elders.

He was the 1st Black American to play in the Masters Tournament in 1975(6 times in total). Though he missed the cut, he still made History on that day. He was invited to the Masters after his win at the 1974 Monsanto Open.

He turned Pro in 1959 and has 18 tournament wins in the UGA and 16 professional wins in the PGA and Champions Tours in his career.

Lee Elder was a Legend and Trailblazer!
